                "value": "<h2>異界の描かれ方～境界～</h2><p>私たちの身近には様々な境界がある。両岸をつなぐ橋や山と里をつなぐ坂、山道の上りと下りの境目である峠、水面と接する水辺などである。言うなれば、2つの世界をつなぐと同時に、どちらの世界にも属する曖昧な場所であるそれらは、しばしば人間界と異界の境界として想像され、妖怪が現れたり、不思議なことが起こったりしやすい場所とされてきた。　物語の中では、妖怪が現れる場所が橋であったり、橋を渡るとそこに異界が開けることがある。そうした境界の場面が描かれた絵巻を紹介する。</p>",

                "value": "<h2>異界の描かれ方～唐風と波模様～</h2><p>異界の建物や人物の服装は、唐風（中国風）に描かれる場合が多い。また、屏風や壁に波模様が描かれることもある。これには、平安時代頃に流布したインドや中国の観念「龍宮」が関係する。古来、日本人は海中に異界を想像してきたが、そこに海や川の楽園的世界の龍宮が結びつく。龍宮は、日本では当時、最も具体的に知り得た異郷である中国や朝鮮の宮殿をもとに描かれ、そのイメージが後に異界の他の建物の描写にも波及したとされる。また、水は生活に欠かせないが、水中で人は生きられない。ゆえに異界のイメージは水と強く結びつき、境界である水辺を想像させる波模様が描かれたとも考えられる。</p>",

                "value": "<h2>鳥獣戯画</h2><p>46　鳥羽僧正覚融絵巻 安達真速　写 明治26（1893）年 ※原本は平安末期から鎌倉時代の成立【す-24】</p><p>「最も有名な絵巻」のひとつともいわれる。甲乙丙丁の4巻から成る。擬人化された動物が描かれる甲巻が有名だが、乙巻には龍や麒麟といった空想上の動物が描かれ、丙・丁巻には人物も多数描かれており、「鳥獣人物戯画」とも呼ばれる。展示資料は、安達真速が明治26（1893）年に東寺で模写したもの。原本の高山寺所蔵本と比較すると、写しの正確さがよくわかる。安達真速は京都在住の画家。展示資料で用いている「幽斎真速」の他にも複数の名義で活躍し、金工としても名前が残る。著作の『都紋百華』は鮮やかな色彩のデザイン集であり、鳥獣戯画に登場する動物と似たデザインも見られる。京都府所蔵（京都文化博物館管理）の「鳥獣人物戯画　甲巻」には、同じ明治26年の安達真速の名前の奥書がある。</p>",

                "value": "<h2>百鬼夜行絵巻</h2><p>38　 百鬼夜行絵巻　 [江戸中期]写　【す-138】</p><p>妖怪や鬼が行進するかのように並ぶおなじみの絵巻。模本は数多いが、基本的に詞書がなく、いくつもの系統がある上に異なる系統が混ざったものもあり、いつ誰が制作したのか、テーマはなにか、元はどのような絵巻だったのか、謎が多い絵巻でもある。研究者の間で当館の請求記号から「す本」とも呼ばれる展示資料は、江戸時代の写しとみられ、重要文化財である京都の大徳寺真珠庵所蔵本の系統である。冒頭の詞書と、それに続く男2人が語り合う導入部の絵は、展示資料のほかにはニューヨーク公共図書館スペンサー・コレクション所蔵本しか確認されておらず、非常に珍しい。また、絵巻の作者を藤原経隆とする文献は明治期にはすでにあるが、藤原経隆の奥書は、明治時代の図版でのみ確認できる御物（皇室の私有品）と展示資料にしかない。これら諸本との関係も含め、今後の研究が待たれる絵巻である。</p>",

                "value": "<h2>付喪神絵巻</h2><p>40　 付喪神繪  [江戸時代]写 【す-36】</p><p>器物が100年経つと妖怪に変化し付喪神になるという。平安時代中期、康保（964－968）のころのこと。都では様々な古道具たちが新年行事のすす払いで打ち捨てられていた。古道具たちは人間への復讐を誓う。数珠が化けた一連上人は古道具たちをいさめるが、追い出されてしまう。古道具たちは、節分の夜に妖怪に変化し、人間や牛馬を食べ、街を行進する。困った帝は、高僧に護法童子を呼び出させ、退治させる。退治された妖怪たちは反省し、追い出した一連上人を山奥に訪ねて出家し仏となった。原本の作者や制作年代は不明。妖怪たちが行進するさまなど、「百鬼夜行絵巻」との絵の共通点も見られる。室町時代作で最古とされる奈良の崇徳寺所蔵本と、当館所蔵の3点を含む江戸時代以降に制作されたと思われる模本十数点の2系統があり、話の筋は同じだが絵が大きく異なる。</p>",
