Overlaying two editions of the Genji Hyakunin Isshu (hikime and kaimoku)

- Curation
Two curations cut from two editions of the Genji Hyakunin Isshu that draw the eyes differently (hikime and kaimoku), stepped through pair by pair. The pairs are pre-aligned, including local correction for paper stretch. Overlaid with Tint or Difference, the text nearly vanishes and only what is drawn differently — eyes, headgear — stands out. Holdings: Osaka Metropolitan University Nakamozu Library (hikime) and Nara Women’s University Academic Information Center (kaimoku), provided by the National Institute of Japanese Literature.
